• Blow Sens blow!

Leafs 3, Senators 1. ‘Nuff said. I know it’s only preseason, but damn… after the crappyness of last season’s play against them, this feels good. Now we just need to do it again on Sunday and call it a done deal ’til the actual season starts. I said it before, and I’ll say it again. Sens are gonna get the stompin’…

  • Look at that. I was right.

I know I said at least once that if there was a stupidity award, George Bush would get it for sure. Well, there is, and he has. I’d say this should give him an indication so far as about where he stands in the public eye, not just in the US but in other parts of the world–like the northern US, for instance–but any obvious signs you’d think would catch his attention probably went over his head. Funnily enough, the awards do explain why his vice president is the only one who believes Bush’s spouting off about there being weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. And he got an award, too.

  • How logical are you?

    You Are Not Logical

Logic is obviously not a talent of yours
Or maybe your brain is totally fried today
    Try again later!

Duh… I coulda told you that. Logic is for people who actually make sense. I never claimed to.

  • I have again been up since 4.

I swear, it’s borderline unhealthy. And I didn’t even have all that much caffeine either… bleh. At this rate whatever the hell routine I come up with probably won’t even do me for shift work. Bleh. Someone just sedate me and get it over with. LOL

  • Having that much fun should not be allowed.

After much shuffling of schedules, we managed to kill pretty much the entire day in Ottawa, and for once, it wasn’t the type of killing a day that makes you want to just go home, flake out, and try to forget that you actually left the house to be bored to tears. I discovered a few things that managed to surprise me, too. Like… my brother can actually be kind of hillarious, when he’s not got a chip on his shoulder. And, just because you aranged to have a prescription ready the day before you’re supposed to go to pick it up does not mean it’ll be there the day you go to pick it up. In fact, the paperwork will still be on the desk of the nurse who was supposed to have sent it to the farmasy. And, hm… you can actually go to Ottawa and back in under 12 hours and for less than $200. There’s other things, too, but I don’t wanna think anymore. Well, that, and most of it would require quoting certain parts of conversations with Trish, and that’s just way too much damn typing for me. Still, I think I learned enough for one day, at any rate.

  • If there is a god, let him save New Brunswick.

All because they redistributed the electoral ridings, the liberals bloody well walked away with a win. Well, at least now, when their new code of ethics comes into effect, they’ll only screw up a province, rather than the whole damn country. Although, to be blatantly honest, I’d still love to see a NDP government for a change from the usual choice between mediocre and just plane bad. After all, they can’t really do much worse can they?

  • Buh bye, Tie.

Sometimes, getting to see him put someone on the ice was the highlight of a game. But with the new rules in the NHL now, the enforcer role is just… kind of in the way. Too bad, too, because I did take a certain satisfaction in seeing Domi take out a Montreal or Ottawa player just because he could. Hope you have as much fun with TSN as you did in the blue and white, and thanks for 11 years of awesome.

  • Counting it down…

For those not keeping track (IE: everyone who isn’t me), there are now 11 hours and 21 minutes until my favourite pass-time, next to spending time with an enjoyable young woman–anyone know any? I speak of the start of the hockey season… yayness! Or something. Okay, back later, hopefully with something of more relevance/importance. Like job related.

  • Take your iTunes store and stuff it.

People really don’t buy much from it anyway. They’d much rather have non-DRMed music. Not that it’s surprising, really… I mean, it’s nothing I haven’t criticised before or anything. People like to share their music, whether they buy said music or not. And not everyone has iTunes, they realize that, too, or *wants* to bother with iTunes. So what services like that escentially say is “You can share your music with whoever you want to, as long as they use the same programs you do.” Kind of takes away from the “whoever you want to” part of that sentence, methinks. Stupid morons and their thinking crap like that would actually work…

  • You’re not fat enough. Go home.

It’s no secret TV and other forms of media promote a thinner is better kind of mentality. Mostly where women are concerned. But now, a fashion show in Spain has decided skinny isn’t right, either. Then people wonder why you hear a lot of crap about an increase in depression in teenaged women and crap like that. This image that you need to fit yourself into a size small to be considered pretty is all over north american TV, then you get a hold of a report like this, and suddenly *smack* too thin. And I thought that was the only thing left without a double standard in society. Ah well. This is why I’m glad I have no reason to bother watching fashion shows and such. I mean, not that I could see anything anyway, but you know…
