Canada’s chief moron of weather has decided we’re not done yet with the whole freezing our asses off thing that’s apparently been designed to piss us off ’til mid to end of April. Not what I wanted to hear. And I think mister Phillips should be shot.

I told her I’d drop by her place for Easter weekend. That was, naturally, before I came to work this morning. Now, as of 20 minutes to half an hour ago, I’m instead working Saturday. What’s wrong with me? And how long will I live…?
Things broke like there was no tomorrow when Vista first showed up last year. And now, Microsoft’s coming out with its first service pack for said piece of royal crapola. Now taking bets on just how sideways that one’s gonna go.
So why, then, did coming to work this morning roughly translate to me very nearly freezing my ass off? Somebody should really explain to me why it is mother nature feels it necessary to be quite, um, bitchy. Because it’s just gone over my head. And I’m 5’11.
Schools will ropen next week after fears of rooves collapsing due to too much snow. Uh. I only had that happen once, and itwas out in BC. and for the record, the whole of victoria shuts down when you get half a foot. And all they did was pretty much block off the section of the school where they thought the roof was more likely to collapse. Kids are too freakin’ pampered nowadays, ’nuff said.

I’ve been making way too many work related entries of late, methinks. But this one’s worth it. I got stung with a nifty little bonus, and a niftier little raise. Occasionally, I actually do consider not applying for other jobs. And 4.5% is somewhat worth a tiny little bit of consideration.
Sadly, I don’t have the time to get as hammered as I planned to tonight, thanks largely to the fact I’m off at 10 and get to go back in tomorrow morning at 11. I shall have to rely solely on funblindsinger for my vicarious living pleasure. In the meantime, a pole. For anyone else who feels like letting me live vicariously.
So I’m now going to correct that. Be back at some point tomorrow, if I’m lucky. The important people can get a hold of me via home/cell phones. Everyone else, well, draw your own conclusions. And with that said… me = gone.
